3 More Food and Wine Restaurant Awards for The Twelve

It’s Win Win Win again for The Twelve in Galway as we scoop three more accolades at the RAI Awards!  

No stranger to winning at this stage, The Twelve Hotel in Barna have won three more accolades recently including; Sustainable Restaurant of the Year, Best Gastro Pub (Regional) for The Pins and Best Wine Experience in Connacht. The latest awards stem from the Irish Restaurant Awards, the largest and most prestigious event recognizing achievement and excellence in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Upstairs @ West is the chic and stylish, 2 AA Rosette winning restaurant at The Twelve, boasting the finest in local produce that highlights the region and the season’s best ingredients. With an emphasis on local, seasonal produce, reduced waste and sustainable practices it seems fitting that West should be recognised as the Sustainable Restaurant of the Year.

The Pins Bar is the hub of The Twelve in Barna, with locals and visitors alike making it their home from home. A winner of its own AA Rosette for culinary excellence, The Pins Bar is the perfect place to enjoy great coffees, interesting teas, breads 'just out of the oven' from The Pins Bakery Shop  and meals which showcase the finest of West Coast produce. Enjoy a pizza from Pizza Dozzina, The Twelve’s great pizza kitchen & deli which serves divine, skinny, traditional Italian pizzas, created in a magnificent wood burning pizza oven. With numerous Wine Spectator Awards already under his belt, General Manager and sommelier Fergus O’Halloran is used to getting praise for his carefully thought out wine list. Passionate about both food and wine, Fergus works hard with Head Chef Martin O’Donnell to ensure that the menu and wine list provide an exceptional guest experience as well as exceptional value.
